Ticket Home was conceived in late 1991 by our great leader, Hartley. He realised that – if push came to shove – his meagre talents should always be just enough to raise the money to get home, wherever he might currently be. With this in mind, a number of non-existent companies were set up: Writer Publish Thyself would handle any literary output; Hartleyfilms would build on experience gained at university and become a major player in the alternative wedding market; BigEars! Music would concentrate on tackling the audio market; finally, 20th Century Hare would distribute any work.
Historic highest gross annual turnover: £100 loss.
